At just 21, the Sunderland-born singer-songwriter is already shaping up to be one of the UK’s most compelling new voices. Fresh off the announcement that he will star alongside Dave Stewart in a major new musical memoir – produced by Fulwell 73 and filming in his hometown next year, he’s stepping into the national spotlight with serious momentum.
In the North East, he’s already a local phenomenon. His two headline shows at The Fire Station in December 2023 sold out instantly, moving an impressive 1,800 tickets, and he returns to the venue’s outdoor stage on Friday 15th August 2025 for what promises to be his biggest Sunderland show yet.
A natural performer, he’s been onstage since the age of eight, cutting his teeth at open-mic nights with regional heroes including Sam Fender. Whether playing solo acoustic or electric or backed by his band Katie, Dylan and Frazer, he delivers a live show that feels raw, urgent and unmistakably his own.
Already a fixture on the UK circuit, he’s hit the stages of Glastonbury, Leeds Festival, and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, and been hand-picked to support a who’s-who of modern indie and alternative greats: Catfish & The Bottlemen, Courteeners, James, The Lathums, Gang of Youths, Miles Kane, Billy Bragg and DMA’s. He was even personally invited to open for Elton John at Hyde Park, a moment that cemented him as a rising star with heavyweight backing.
In the studio, he’s collaborated with Miles Kane and Hugo White (The Maccabees / 86TVs), sharpening a sound that blends heartfelt songwriting with classic British grit. On screen, he’s appeared on Soccer AM, MOTD X, Blue Peter and Sunday Brunch, while on air he’s earned playlisting on Absolute Radio and Radio X, championed by tastemakers including Jack Saunders, Chris Hawkins, John Kennedy, Jordan North and Greg James.
An Apple Music ‘Up Next’ artist and AIM Award 2024 nominee for PPL Most Played New Independent Artist, he’s now signed to legendary UK label Fiction Records a fitting next chapter for an artist who’s already achieved so much, but is only just getting started.
