Ed Cosens is a Sheffield-born singer-songwriter whose career spans more than two decades as a performer, songwriter and collaborator. Having released two solo albums, he is currently working on his third, with a new EP of covers and collaborations set for release in 2026.
A key figure in Sheffield’s influential 2000s music scene, Ed was guitarist and songwriter for Reverend and the Makers, as well as a former bandmate of Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner and Matt Helders.
As a multi-platinum and gold-selling songwriter, Ed has written and collaborated with an impressive range of acclaimed artists, including Beth Nielsen Chapman, Damon Albarn through Africa Express, Jeff Cohen, Wandering Hearts, Toby Lee, Richard Hawley, Michele Stodart, Kezia Gill and Elles Bailey.
His live career has taken him across Europe, the United States and Japan, performing both as a solo artist and with Reverend and the Makers. Along the way, he has shared stages with some of the world’s biggest acts, including Oasis, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Arctic Monkeys.
