Sam Scherdel returns to his hometown following a breakthrough year which has seen him take his music around the world.
From performing at SXSW in Texas and BST Hyde Park, to seeing breakthrough single “Somewhere in the Middle” pass 3 million streams, 2026 has been a landmark year for the South Yorkshire singer-songwriter.
Known for his gravelled voice, huge choruses and emotionally charged live shows, Sam returns to Gorilla Beer Hall with his full band ahead of the release of “Boy Who Fell To Earth”, his first EP since signing a global record deal with Create Music Group. Produced with Mercury-nominated Colin Elliot (Richard Hawley), the EP is set for release in spring 2027.
The hometown show will bring together new music from the forthcoming record alongside the songs that have taken him from small rooms in South Yorkshire to stages across the UK and, increasingly, across the Atlantic.
