For 45 years, you helped make The Leadmill what it is.
From first gigs and unforgettable nights, to friendships, communities and creative journeys – everything The Leadmill has ever been has been powered by the people who took that first step inside. That means you.
Thank you, genuinely, for being part of this community. For every ticket bought, every dancefloor filled and every message of support over the years. We wouldn’t be here without you.
Now we’re getting in touch to share the next chapter and with your help, we can open those doors again for the next generation.
Following the departure from our original home, we’re working towards securing a new permanent venue – a space where The Leadmill can continue to grow, evolve and bring people together.
We’re still presenting live music, comedy, club nights, cinema and talks, in various other venues at the moment but what we’re wanting to build now is our long-term future: a new home that’s independent, accessible and designed to last for decades.

Every donation – whether it’s £5, £10, £20 or more – will go directly towards:
• Securing a permanent space
• Building the venue and technical infrastructure
• Ensuring full accessibility
• Preserving iconic Leadmill heritage, including our neon sign
All funds will be held in a ring-fenced account dedicated solely to establishing our new home.
This isn’t about starting over from scratch. It’s about continuing something that matters to people.
