SUMMARY:Teen Mortgage plus Cowboy Hunters // Yellow Arch
DESCRIPTION:Washington DC’s Teen Mortgage climbed from the city’s primordial punk soup in 2017 after guitarist/vocalist James Guile relocated to the nation’s capital from Liverpool\, UK and by a stroke of luck was quickly able to find hard hitting drummer Ed Barkauskas via a desperate craigslist post. As a two piece they stood out – crossbreeding east coast hardcore aggression and garage/surf sleaze with a focus on pop sensibility. This sonic blend perfectly set the scene for vocalist and guitarist James Guile to illustrate what he describes as “the absurdity of living in the era of late stage capitalism and tech feudalism”. He adds\, “it’s even woven into our name\, like Mortgage in latin means ‘death pledge’” \nTeen Mortgage’s acerbic intensity was noticed by Brooklyn\, NY label King Pizza Records\, who released the duo’s 2019 EP Life/Death and 2021’s Smoked. Songs from the EPs earned Teen Mortgage placements with Shameless\, Vans Park Series\, and Evil Bikes and support slots with notable bands like The Chats\, Mike Krol\, Bass Drum Of Death\, Jeff The Brotherhood\, etc. \nKnown for their rowdy live shows\, Teen Mortgage detonates a sonic bomb that leaves no room for apathy\, let alone time to breathe. Guile’s caustic riffs and sneer paired with Barakauskas’s brawn have fostered a new established meeting ground for those looking for a place to mosh. Their DIY headline national tours have seen crowd members become rabid as soon as the pair kick in the first riff of the set\, like a pack of coyotes chasing down their prey. The group’s infectious fuzz bonded with Jello Biafra and George Carlin inspired lyrics ignite audiences into a primal frenzy\, sweating out the drudgery of living through\, once again in Guile’s words\, “the era of late stage capitalism and tech feudalism”. \n“These guys have got it going on” – Iggy Pop\, BBC6’s The Confidential Show \nRECENT NOTABLE PRESS \nIggy Pop Shout Out Teen Mortgage – The Confidential Show on BBC6 Radio \nhttps://www.instagram.com/reel/Cnyxf-3jzQ7/?igshid=ZjE2NGZiNDQ= \nWashington Post Feature \nhttps://www.washingtonpost.com/music/2022/07/13/teen-mortgage-interview/ \n  \nWashington Post Feature II \nhttps://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2023/06/08/dc-punk-library-show/

SUMMARY:Maybe Gold - Yellow Arch
DESCRIPTION:Born in the post-industrial pulse of Barnsley\, Maybe Gold ls the grit of Yorkshire streets into shimmering\, electrified soundscapes. Equal parts neon nostalgia and modern urgency\, their music fuses driving guitar lines with analog synth textures\, creating songs that feel like late-night bus rides\, flickering streetlights\, and big\, unspoken ambitions. \nFormed by a tight-knit group of mates who grew up on a steady diet of local sticky-floored gig venues\, the band quickly built a reputation for explosive live shows. There’s a raw honesty at the core of their sound: lyrics that cut through small-town ceilings\, restless energy\, and the sense that something bigger is just \nWith each release\, they sharpen their edge\, expanding their sound without losing that unmistakable Barnsley backbone. \nThey’re on the rise\, no question about it. And if momentum counts for anything\, it won’t be long before the rest of the country catches up.

If last time is anything to go by\, you’ll barely have a chance to leave the dance floor. \nAnd because it’s Bank Holiday Sunday\, there’s no need to worry about that Monday morning alarm. This is your excuse to stay out late\, lose yourself in the music and squeeze every last drop out of the long weekend.  \nYouth Club Disco is a celebration of simpler days\, killer tunes and dancing without a care in the world – and it’s got your name written all over it.  \nPete will be personally spinning choice cuts from his extensive vinyl collection on the night\, alongside Leadmill veteran DJ Adam Morley. Together\, they’ll be sound tracking a night that’s more than just a party\, it’s a full-blown time warp. \nIf you attended any of these events so far\, you know just how special they are. If you’re new to the scene\, this is your chance to come and see what all the fuss was about. \nExpect to hear: \nAdam and the Ants / The Specials / The Cure / T-Rex / Spandau Ballet / Kool & The Gang / Queen / Eurythmics / The Human League / Soft Cell / Tears for Fears / REM / Duran Duran / Depeche Mode / New Order / David Bowie / Pet Shop Boys / Yazoo / Guns N Roses / Dead or Alive / Orchestral Manoeuvers in the Dark / Ultravox / Heaven 17 / Talking Heads / The Jam / Joy Division / Blondie / The Smiths / Gary Numan and loads more \n======================================================== \nFor this extra special evening\, we’d suggest digging out your finest threads and securing your ticket to avoid disappointment.  \nTickets for this event will be in high demand\, so secure your place while you can.  \nOn sale Friday 5th June\, 10am \n======================================================== \nCheck out what other events we have coming up here \nGot a wedding\, staff party or event coming up? SUMMARY:Barry Castagnola (The Steamworks)
DESCRIPTION:Fresh from supporting Greg Davies on his ‘Full Fat Legend’ tour\, Barry brings his own show to The Steamworks\n\nHaving become a father quite late in life\, in all honestly\, he’s just delighted to be away for a few days to get some good sleep (although he won’t be telling his partner that and he hopes she won’t read this. Why would she? She’s not going to be booking tickets to see him in Sheffield).\n\nEmbarrassingly\, he’s got a racist dog\, so a break from constantly apologising in the local park is also a bonus.\n\nOh\, and he’s furious his parents chose the name Barry.\n\nExpect stories about these and other awkward situations in a show packed with laughs.\n\nHe’d like to point out that he wrote the above (and this) and to be honest\, he finds it a bit weird to be writing in the third person. He also thinks it’s presumptuous to say his show is packed with laughs (even though he’s very confident it will be). Why don’t you be the judge and come along? He’d also like to clarify that the quotes below weren’t written by him but by actual reviewers (and an endorsement from Greg Davies). And he’d like to thank you for the time you’ve spent reading this and he hopes to see you on the 23rd September.\n\n“Astonishingly funny”  ★★★★★ The List\n“Perfect” ★★★★★  3 weeks \n“Hugely entertaining” ★★★★ Chortle\n“A confident\, likeable comic\, it’s his self-deprecating bemusement that provides the most hilarity.” ★★★★ Metro\n“His charm and willingness to make himself look ridiculous carry him through the trickiest of subject matter.” ★★★★ Edfest\n“By far the funniest Barry I know (since my uncle died)” Greg Davies

SUMMARY:Sandro Ford (Sheffield Plate)
DESCRIPTION:Stand-up comedian Sandro Ford is heading out on his first ever UK and Ireland tour\, and it’s a big one. Titled Lager Than Life\, this debut run brings Sandro’s unmistakable voice\, sharp observations\, and pub-bred storytelling to stages across the country. \nCo-Host of the smash hit Problematic Pub Podcast and as seen on Have A Word\, Dead Men Talking\, and Hot Water Green Room\, Sandro has quickly made a name for himself as a comic who tells it how it is. His comedy is rooted in real life\, growing up\, getting older\, bad decisions\, worse hangovers\, and the sort of characters you only ever meet in or around a pub. Honest\, self-aware\, and unapologetically funny\, his material feels lived-in and instantly relatable. \nLager Than Life is a celebration of nights that spiral\, mates who never change\, and the quiet chaos of everyday British life. Sandro’s relaxed delivery and natural crowd connection allow his punchlines to land effortlessly\, turning familiar situations into moments of pure comedy. One minute he’s dissecting modern masculinity\, the next he’s deep into a story that probably should’ve stayed off record — but you’re glad it\ndidn’t. \nThis tour marks the next step for a comic firmly on the rise\, bringing his most personal and hard-hitting material yet to live audiences. Whether you’ve followed his podcast appearances or are discovering him for the first time\, expect big laughs\, brutal honesty\, and stories that hit close to home. \nSo get a drink in\, find your seat\, and brace yourself. With Sandro Ford\, it’s always Down the Hatch. Lovelyyy

SUMMARY:Declan Welsh and The Decadent West at Hallamshire Hotel
DESCRIPTION:Declan Welsh and the Decadent West are back. After time away writing their third record\, the Glasgow band return this autumn with 25+ dates across the UK and Europe\, from Saint Luke’s in their hometown to Berlin’s Badehaus\, London’s The Grace to Madrid’s Sala Sol\, in support of new album Explicit Agitation\, out September 2026. \nThe record is their most ambitious yet: a furious\, clear-eyed document of the present moment that refuses to look away. From deindustrialised towns hollowed out by decades of neglect\, to the death toll in Gaza counted out in verse\, to a withering monologue delivered from inside the mind of a ruling-class villain. But Explicit Agitation is also their most complete record: alongside the politics sits love\, loneliness\, lost faith\, and a searching self-awareness about what protest art is actually for. Recorded with Chris Marshall at Castle of Doom Studios\, who produced their debut\, the album’s title signals intent. The music delivers on it. \nFronted by singer-songwriter Declan Welsh; the band now features a rotating cast of friends and musicians alongside longtime bassist Ben Corlett and they have built their reputation through ferocious live performances and writing that punches as hard as it moves. Their debut album Cheaply Bought\, Expensively Sold earned a Scottish Album of the Year shortlist; their second established them as an essential voice and live act. They’ve headlined the Barrowland Ballroom twice\, topped the bill at Tenement Trail\, and played the main stage at TRNSMT\, alongside appearances at Glastonbury\, Isle of Wight and Reeperbahn. The band are delighted to reschedule dates originally due to take place in spring 2025\, and their recent appearance at Scotland’s Resonate conference was proof\, if any were needed\, that the electric live show is very much intact. Their track “Hardly News” was featured in Universal’s 2025 film Drop. 16 million streams\, 4.5 million on “Absurd” alone\, BBC Radio 1 Intro Track of the Week\, New Music Friday playlisted in the UK\, a national advertising campaign with Tennent’s. Declan recently signed a publishing deal with Notting Hill Music\, with further announcements regarding the albums release imminent. \nThe return of one of the UK’s most essential live bands. Explicit Agitation is out September 2026. The tour starts 24th September.

SUMMARY:Nina Gilligan (Sheffield Plate)
DESCRIPTION:The kids have gone\, the house is quiet\, and the spare bedroom has become a land grab.\n\nFreedom is scary\, and Nina is quietly losing her mind while pretending everything is absolutely fine… until it isn’t. After a lemoncake incident\, Nina is banned from using heavy machinery. What follows is flirting with priests\, turning to witchcraft and recreational substances — and the realisation that empty nesting is less gentle clearing and more violent reinventing.\n\nWarm\, sharp and self-aware\, Nina Gilligan is back with a hilarious\, unfiltered celebration of what it means to be a mature woman — standing in the wreckage of self-discovery and hoping there is a recipe that works.\n\nIt’s not a breakdown. It’s a lemoncake moment.\n\nComedians’ Comedian 2025\nMercury Award Winner\nChortle Club Comic

SUMMARY:Matilda Shakes - Foundry
DESCRIPTION:Matilda Shakes: The High-Octane Pulse of Sheffield Indie\nMatilda Shakes are a indie rock juggernaut force emerging from the heart of Sheffield’s historic music scene. Defined by punchy\, driven guitars\, raucous riffs\, and huge singalong choruses\, the band creates a high-octane surge of adrenaline designed for sweat-soaked rooms and massive festival stages alike. In short\, Matilda Shakes bring the moshpits and the mayhem. \nTheir sound—a masterclass in modern indie that blends the swagger of early Arctic Monkeys with the stadium-ready drive of Kasabian—has already made a significant impact. Their songs have secured spots on the official F1 Tracks: Best of British playlist\, while other tracks have been featured on the official Premier League media. Touring the UK in 2026\, Matilda Shakes bring their gigantic live show to The Foundry’s main room for their biggest hometown show ever.
