Orchard Square and The Leadmill have teamed up to bring you The Big Weekend – a bank holiday weekend full of live music, family entertainment and parties, all completely FREE this August 24th – 26th!
From 12pm every day across the weekend enjoy live bands, soloists and community groups live on the Leadmill stage in Orchard Square, along with free children’s activities including crafts, face painting, stilt walking and balloon modelling. Plus, our favourite local chocolatier, Bullion, will be joining us to sell chocolate, cookies, brownies and ice cream!
There will also be a host of free events taking place within some of our fantastic venues in the Square across the weekend to celebrate the Bank Holiday!
Live music will take place each day in the square, featuring awesome performances from some premium local acts featuring:
Curti$ & Luky D, Mat Hook, Jess Breame, Connor Berry, SWAN, Blue John, Archie Baker & the Blue Meanies, Matilda Shakes, Harry Lyon, Ben Ibbotson, Caleb Francis, Harri Larkin, Shelley Byron, Hot Flamingo, The Steel City Ukes, Kid Blue, Toby Burton, KIER, Alice Ede, and performances from the Slambarz & TRACKS projects!

Orchard Square main entrances are located at the top of Fargate or on Leopold Street next to All Bar One.
